BritFlexi Premium Grout extended informationA HIGHLY POLYMER MODIFIED, FLEXIBLE WATER/FROST RESISTANT GROUT WITH ANTIMICROBAL PROTECTION BUILT IN FOR USE ON WALL AND FLOOR TILES. SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR GROUT WIDTHS UP TO 20MM. SUITABLE FOR BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR USE IN BOTH WET AND DRY CONDITIONS. CONFORMS TO AND EXCEEDS BS EN 13888 CG2WA STANDARDS.Intended UseBritFlexi is suitable for grouting wall and floor tiles including ceramics, slate, limetsone, marble, glazed and fully vitrified porcelain, terrazzo, natural stone, glass and ceramic mosaics. BritFlexi grout is particularly suitable for areas subject to slight movement or vibration and can be used with underfloor heating systems. Ensure that the underfloor heating system has been off for 48hrs prior to the installation and is then turned on gradually after 7 days. BritFlexi grout can be mixed with Brit Superflex for enhanced flexural strength for use on timber floors which have not been overboarded with 15mm plywood.PreparationThe substrate must be sound and free from any excessive movement. Ensure tiles are securely fixed and that all open grout joints are clear from excessive adhesive. Grout joints must also be clean, dry and free from loose debris. When grouting over a large area that requires the use of more than one bag of BritFlexi grout, we recommended that the mixes be from the same batch date to give uniformity of colour across the installation.WARNING – Grout can cause staining/scratching to certain types of tiles and cause surface discolouration. We recommended the use of a suitable tile protector and advise that the grout be mixed and tried on a spare tile to check compatibility before grouting begins.Mixing RatioSlowly add the BritFlexi grout into a vessel containing clean, cold water (mixing table can be seen further down). BritFlexi grout should be mixed either by hand or with a mechanical mixer to form a smooth, lump free mortar. Mix as desired and allow to stand for 2 minutes before re-mixing for 30 seconds. NOTE – do not mix more material than what can be used in a 60 minute time period.Do not use excessive water during mixing or during the clean down process, as this can lead to poor strength development and effloresence forming on the grout surface. Work the mixed grout into the joints with a rubber backed grout float or squeegee, ensuring that the joints are completely filled and compacted.Mixing Volumes per Bag Size:2.5kg Bag: Add 2.5kg BritFlexi Grout into a vessel of 550ml of clean, cold water.5kg Bag: Add 5kg BritFlexi Grout into a vessel of 1.25ltrs of clean, cold water.10kg Bag: Add 10kg BritFlexi Grout into a vessel of 2.2ltrs of clean, cold water.CoverageCoverage will depend on the size of the tile, joint widths and depths.
