Kerakoll Levelflex Fibre extended informationCoverage: 1.67 kg/m2 per mm of thicknessUsagePreparation of substratesThe substrate must comply with current British standards and industry regulations. In general, substrates must be free of dust, oil and grease, free from any moisture rising, with no loose, flaky or imperfectly anchored parts such as residues of cement, lime, paint coatings and adhesives, which must be completely removed. The substrate must be stable, non-deformable, without cracks and have already completed the curing period of hygrometric shrinkage. In particular, substrates must be treated with a suitable primer as shown in the table below:Kerakoll Levelflex Fibre substratesSubstratePrimersDilution with waterCement-based screedsPrimer A EcoDilutedCalcium sulphate- based screedsPrimer A EcoUndilutedConcretesPrimer A EcoDilutedCeramic floors ceramic tilesKeragrip EcoUndilutedFlooring grade plywoodPrimer A EcoDilutedGypsum fibre or fibre-cement panelsPrimer A EcoDilutedMetal substratesKeragrip EcoUndiluted~* Kerakoll Levelflex Fibre from us comes with Free Upgraded Express Next Working Day Delivery *~PreparationPour 4.5 – 5.0 l of clean water into a clean container; then pour in a bag of Levelflex Fibre, while shaking. Mix with a mechanical mixer until a smooth, lump-free and self-levelling mixture is achieved. Larger quantities of Kerakoll Levelflex Fibre may be prepared in suitable mixers. After the first mixing, it is advisable to leave the mixture to rest for approx. 2 minutes and then mix again briefly. Levelflex Fibre features a high degree of self- levelling capacity. Adding extra water does not improve the workability of the product, and may cause shrinkage in the plastic phase of drying and result in less effective final performance with a reduction in surface hardness, compressive strength and adhesion to the substrate.Instructions for useApplicationKerakoll Levelflex Fibre is generally applied with a flooring trowel. The use of a spike roller or aeration roller can be used to further improve the surface finish of Levelflex Fibre by removing entrapped air from the mixture. In the case of low temperatures and high humidity it is advisable to keep the environment ventilated during application and during the hours immediately following application, in order to avoid the formation of condensation on the surface of the self-levelling product during the setting phase. Protect from air currents at actual floor level.CleaningResidual traces of Kerakoll Levelflex Fibre can be removed from tools using water before the product hardens.NotesJoints: perimeter expansion must be allow for in the application of self levelling compounds. Perimiter expansion edging strip must be installed along the whole perimeter of the room, on the walls and on any other vertical elements protruding from the supporting layer. Large and continuous surface areas need to be fractionised as soon as they can withstand foot traffic so to create areas < 100 m2 with 10 m maximum individual size. All movement or expansion joints located in the substrate must be respected.Overlaying: if an additional application of Kerakoll Levelflex Fibre is required once the initial application has been completed, the first installation layer must first be hardened and ready to accept foot traffic and additional application, this is generally after 3 hours. The initial layer of Levelflex Fibre must be primed with a neat coat of Kerakoll Primer A Eco prior to subsequent applications.Kerakoll Levelflex Fibre technical dataAppearancegrey pre-mixedApparent volumetric mass≈ 1.35 kg/dm3Mineralogical nature of inert materialsilicate - crystalline carbonateGrading0 – 600 μmShelf life≈ 12 months from the date of production in the original, unopened packaging; protect from humidityMixing water≈ 4.5 - 5.0 l / 1 bag 20 kgSpecific weight of the mixture≈ 2.03 kg/dm3 UNI 7121Self levelling time≈ 20 min.End setting time≈ 3 hrsTemperature range for applicationfrom 5 °C to 35 °CMaximum thicknessbetween 3 and 50 mmFoot traffic≈ 3 hrsWaiting time before laying:- ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and mosaic tiles≈ 3 hrsCoverage≈ 1.67 kg/m2 per mm of thicknessKerakoll Levelflex Fibre performanceVOC Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) - Volatile organic compound emissionsConformityEC 1 Plus GEV-EmicodeGEV certified 17673/11.01.02HIGH-TECHResistance to:- compressive after 24 h= 7N / mm2EN 13892-2- compressive after 7 days= 12N / mm2EN 13892-2- compressive strength after 28 days= 20N / mm2EN 13892-2- flexural after 28 days= 6N / mm2EN 13892-2Classification / ConformityCT-C20-F6EN 13813NBProduct for professional useabide by any British standards and industry regulationsdo not use Levelflex Fibre to correct substrate irregularities greater than 50 mm in a single coat do not add other binders, additives or pigments to the mixturelow temperatures and high relative humidity lengthen the drying time and can saturate the environment; this may have a negative effect on the quality of the surface of the self-levelling productan excessive quantity of water will reduce strength and the drying timerespect any movement or expansion joints present in the substrateif necessary, ask for the safety data sheet for any other issues, contact the Kerakoll Worldwide Global Service Categories: All Products, Floor Levelling & Smoothing Compounds Pallet Deals, Floor Levelling Compounds - Pallet Deals
