Faber-Castell Fountain Pen Neo Slim Metal Black

The Neo Slim is a svelte metal pen, with a stealthy matte appearance. The cap pops off with a firm click, and the pen is most comfortable with it posted (again, firmly clicking into place). The section is untextured and quite small, and often you’ll find yourself gripping the actual barrel of the pen instead. Between this and how thin the pen is, long writing periods might prove uncomfortable for some people. The cap has a clip, but it exerts almost no grip and I would hesitate to rely on it to hold on to anything. The nib is stiff with no flex nor springiness. It writes smooth across the paper, with little feedback. After a week so far I haven’t had any issues with the nib running dry or skipping. Overall a no-nonsense, reliable, every-day writer, with an aesthetically pleasing design.
